Salmon pink bird eating tarantulas are great starter spiders. Their latin name is Lasiodora Parahybana and they originate from North Eastern Brazil. In captivity salmon pink bird eating tarantulas eat insects, but in the wild they will eat small mammals, small birds and even small lizards.

They need to be fed every week and can grow up to 11 inches long. Male salmon pink bird eating tarantulas live for approx 5 years, and females up to 25 years.

Salmon pink bird eating tarantulas are considered to be the third largest tarantula in the world.
